Hearts In The Bathroom Mirror

Fantasy time -- what I would do if I won the lottery tomorrow:

  • Set up a trust to keep The Listening Ear on its feet for a few decades.
  • Restore and rebuild the Riv, looking into the possibility of converting him to a hybrid.
  • Commission about a dozen anime/game costumes and plan a nation-wide convention road trip for next summer.
  • Order a nice, genuine Japanese katana, custom-balanced.
  • Replace the limited-edition Zot! books that Jenny stole.
  • Fund a new reality show in which the stars/writers of awful television ads battle in something like a Thunderdome.
  • Set up another trust, this one for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. Also buy them a senator.
  • Buy a Cobalt Flux, donate my TX1000+ to a certain someone.
  • Learn to cook a couple more really fancy meals. Never eat cheap mushrooms again.
  • Buy a copy of Megaman X8, just so I can dick around with the D-Glaive.
  • Be a sap with a percentage of the rest -- my token complementing trick on a grander scale.
  • Save the remainder to have a roof over my head on a rainy day.

I was expecting to see NPR somewhere on that list. I doubt you'd be able to end Pledge Week even with all $1M committed to it, so it might be hard to see the benefit.

So -- did you buy a lottery ticket?

I'd like to do the NPR thing, but I can't pick a station to support until I pick a city to settle down in. Although Michigan Radio has been good to me so far.

I said "Messing with you" because I wasn't sure if the reaction was positive or negative....I'm such a wuss!
Megamillion is up to $144 mill...Bought a ticket last night and it only fed the beast.
